Warrant Issued for Snodgrass
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-39156677

A warrant has been issued for Scotland international footballer Robert Snodgrass after he failed to turn up for his court trial.
The West Ham striker is charged with driving a car while a baby was being held by a passenger.
Snodgrass, 29, is alleged to have driven on Duke Street, Glasgow, on 17 April with too many people to fit a baby seat in.
The baby is alleged to have been in the arms for a rear seat passenger.
Snodgrass, originally from Glasgow, was not at the city's Justice of the Peace Court when the case called.
Defence lawyer Martin Black told the court "he didn't think he had to be" when asked why his client was not present.
The Crown requested a warrant which was granted by JP Eunice Paton.

The legal system in Scotland is very odd.

I didn't know that carrying a baby in a car was a criminal offence.

Knowing our luck under an archaic Scottish Law concerning the 'conveyance of infants and imbeciles in driven carriages' from about 1600 he will receive 35 years imprisonment

Driving with a bairn in arms?

Fucking hell, that's standard sweatie practice.

I once took my then wife and our first-born up to Rosyth to see the family and we needed to go from one side of town to the other.

I had a Chrysler 170 at the time (don't ask) and suggested 3 trips to ferry the family. "Nay, fook tha' ye' wit sassenach, we can all fi' in tha'", upon which, the whole fucking MacDonald clan just climbed in for the journey, including at least 3 kids under 2.

I was reminded what shock absorbers are designed to do.

Sold the car not long after getting back to civilisation.

I had a warrant for my arrest over a driving offence once, they put more effort in to that than anything else.

The Snod should be made to sit in a big booster seat when driving for two years .

I remember the late 70's and early eighties we would always stick 7-8 into an average car and go all over the place no seat belts nothing, and Mr plod was left to sort out real problems

I think the club is in a sticky predicament here, do we really want criminals turning out for us? There will be eyes on us expecting us to act accordingly.

Re: Warrant Issued for Snodgrass
Robert Snodgrass has played down the arrest warrant for failing to attend court as a misunderstanding saying it is not a big issue.

It was issued for after he failed to attend a court trial having been charged with driving a car while a baby was being held by a passenger.

Snodgrass is alleged to have driven on Duke Street, Glasgow, on 17th April 2016 with too many people in the vehicle to fit a baby seat in.
But the issue is not expected to affect his preparations for tonight’s game and Scottish police are NOT expected to be present at the London Stadium to arrest him.
Snodgrass told the Sun “It was just a misunderstanding and I didn’t realise I had to be present in court. It’s not a big issue and will be resolved in due course.”
